Our Journey
Therapy can be helpful in a variety of ways. My personal journey to therapy began when the lack of marital resources or mentors led me to extensive research on causes and climbing rates of divorce. I believe that a healthy family unit is critical to the health and well-being of each of us. My passion to foster healthy individuals and families begins with providing pre-marital and ongoing counseling to couples to better understand themselves and each other.
Although I am never able to promise results, I believe in utilizing evidenced-based therapeutic methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to ensure clients can see short term results in their lives and in their relationships. This is done by processing past experiences, healing trauma and challenging unhealthy and misleading thoughts. I currently hold Level 2 Gottman certification and have extensive experience working with couples. I have had the pleasure of witnessing the power of commitment and dedication. I also work with couples in transitioning to co-parenting relationships to continue focusing on a healthy family. I wholeheartedly believe in making relationships fun and exciting!
I also work with individuals suffering from traumatic experiences, anxiety and depression to develop interpersonal and coping skills, develop impulse control, establish boundaries and live the life you envision. I believe in creating a therapeutic partnership with my clients and going on the journey together.
